Hi everyone! I have been MIA from this blog for what feels like forever and I SO apologize. Planning and executing content that I am proud of has seemed like a heavy task lately on top of everything else in my life, but I’ve recently found myself more motivated and excited than EVER to share my love for fashion on this platform.
So…. in my brief haitus, here’s what I’ve been up to!
- I spend almost every weekend in Hoboken, NJ. I have completely fallen in love with the “peaceful” side of the city and walking along the water looking at the skyline of the city is breathtaking. No matter how many times I do it. I definitely am still learning my ways around Hoboken but some of my favorite places are McSwiggins (really casual and cheap for a quick dinner), The Ferryman on First (the perfect place to spend every football Sunday), and Little City Books (the cutest little bookstore! They write little notes all around the bookshelves and on the book covers to let you know what the book is about!). As you can probably tell, I haven’t explored much of Hoboken. These 3 spots mentioned above are within 30ish feet of one another, LOL!
- I took a trip to Kennebunkport, Maine in the beginning/middle of August. I have always had family in Maine and we try to visit Kennebunkport at least 2x a year (see you soon for Christmas Prelude, Maine!). It was a perfect long weekend. There’s really not much else I can say about it: if you’ve been to Kennebunkport, you’ll know. It’s heaven.
4. Ant and I celebrated 4 years together on September 4th! It’s crazy that it’s been 4 years, but YES: it was all of college! We kept it super low-key and grabbed a casual dinner in Hoboken. Cheers to many more!
5. I’ve been in contact with my friends more so now than ever! Katie (my best friend) lives on Cape Cod still, so it’s sad I never get to see her! We’re SO used to spending almost every day during the summer together, and I haven’t seen her since JUNE! I planned a weekend coming up to go back home so we can catch up and I am SO excited for it! I’ve also been planning to take a trip to Chicago to visit two of my best friends from college, (hi Cait and Vic!). They’re both from the Mid-west which makes it easy to visit them both at once, but it’s SO awful being so far away! (Especially after living with them for two (pretty much 3 if you count sleeping on their dorm room floor for sleepovers) years!). As for new friends, I’ve met a TON of new girls in the Hoboken area recently and it’s been so nice! This past weekend we went to a happy hour and then made plans to go out again at night! It’s so great to feel settled in a new place.
Thank you all for being SO patient with me while I took quite the pause there! I can promise you that from now on, you will see blog posts from me consistently on a weekly basis! Thank you all again so much for your love and support on this blog, in my personal life, and more!
