Casual Coffee Chat

Cheers to Monday! This last weekend was such a dream. The weather was cool and we had zero set plans. On Friday night, Anthony and I made “homemade” pizza. I say “homemade” because we didn’t make the dough from scratch… We bought a kit. But still. It’s technically homemade.  Ever since we left New Jersey, Anthony has been missing Jersey pizza. And if you’re from Jersey or you’ve visited and had pizza there before, you can automatically consider yourself a pizza snob. 🤣 I personally think pizza tastes good anywhere & everywhere. But I will say, the specific pizzeria we went to in New Jersey was gourmet. The toppings range from pizza topped with penne vodka, greek salad, chicken tenders and fries, & there’s even a tortellini pizza. I don’t even consider it “pizza.” Lol!

Saturday was the best day. We woke up late (seriously, I had no idea I still had the ability to sleep until 10am!). It was pretty chilly, which I obviously loved. Anthony needed to buy a few things and I wanted to browse Target, so we spent most of our afternoon at the Target by Fenway Park. This weekend was the first weekend Fenway opened up as a venue to vote early. It was so fun seeing people line up to vote! Everyone was distanced, but you could see how excited people were. I cannot wait to vote on November 3rd! 🇺🇸 After we left Target and came back home, we picked up two hot drinks from Starbucks and went to sit by the water. If you follow along on Instagram you’ve probably seen me post by the water pretty often. That specific spot where we sit is only a 10 minute walk from our apartment, and it’s become our favorite place to get fresh air.

On Sunday, we didn’t go anywhere and it was so relaxing. Ant did laundry and I vacuumed/swept and sanitized the whole apartment. After that, we just chilled for the rest of the day. I read, did some blog work, and watched a movie. A Christmas movie, might I add. Oops!

I will say, I am so glad it’s Monday. I’m always excited about a fresh start and a new week. I woke up early today, went for a 3 mile walk/run, got ready for the day, and now I’ll be spending the day planning more blog content for the upcoming weeks. As we enter the “holiday” season, expect a ton of gift guides and fun decorating content from me.  Speaking of, how early is too early for holiday content? I think October sounds WAY too early to create gift guides, but I know people that are currently doing their holiday shopping already. I think I’ll wait until November, but let me know if you’d like to see any earlier!

Whenever the time comes, I’m excited to share!
