Playing Catch-Up

The last few weeks have been a whirlwind… Between visiting with friends, taking on a few larger freelance projects, Ant starting a new job, spending loads of time outside of the city, and trying to relish in all of the magic that fall offers, I’m definitely playing a championship game of catch-up. Or at least I feel like I am…. and I’m not quite sure that I’m winning. 😅

I’m crossing off things on my list on the daily, and somehow the next morning I find myself creating a list twice the size. It’s a mixture of catching up on work related tasks, preparing for OOO days in the near future, scheduling some sort of time to have a social life???, and even the little things like making a few in-store returns or posting an Instagram Story for a brand who kindly sent over a holiday product preview. I simply can’t find the time to get it all done.

Since it’s Monday and I’m ready for a fresh start, here’s how I’m going to tackle the week ahead:

  • Write down deadlines for this week and next. Time-block a section in my schedule to complete the work due.
  • Workout daily!!!
  • Go to bed around 9:30pm, wake up ~5am.
  • Finish reading 2 books.

I’m hopeful these mini goals for the week will allow me to focus on my work and in my free time, allow me to do something other than scrolling on my phone. At all hours of the day, I hope I’m doing one of these: working, sleeping, eating, working out, reading. Of course, scheduling time to catch up with friends, too.

Any recommendations on how you prioritize getting it all done? Send them my way, please!
