May Wishlist

May gives us the green light to go ahead and shop for all-things summer. At least, I think so. Disregard the fact that it’s going to be a low of 35° on the Cape tomorrow. While we can’t necessarily go many places right now, I’ve accepted the new normal for the time being. I’ve been dressing up to work from home, dressing well just to drive around on weekends, and of course, this platform requires me to dress up somewhat often in order to keep creating new content.

When it comes to shopping for summer, I like to include light and airy styles. After all, nobody wants to sit in a pair of stiff denim jeans in the humidity. In addition to light and airy silhouettes, I’m planning on adding light colors and simple prints to my closet. Right now, I am loving yellows, greens, and of course: whites.

While all of the pieces I’m sharing below are on my wishlist, I won’t necessarily be purchasing all of them. Before making a purchase, especially a seasonal clothing purchase, it’s important to make sure it’s going to be worth the investment. I suggest thinking of at least 2-3 different ways you can style the item for the summer, and then think of any ways you’d be able to style it in the fall, winter, or spring. If you can only picture yourself wearing it with one specific pair of shoes or to one certain event, it’s probably not worth your money. For example, #6 is one of my favorite pieces. Not only can I picture it styled in the summer with a white eyelet top and sandals, but I can also picture it styled in the fall with booties and a brown sweater.

Happy Saturday, all!
