Shopping Preppy Brands on a Budget: Vineyard Vines, Lilly Pulitzer, J.Crew, and More!

If you follow me over on Instagram (@courtneyjenney)  then you might have noticed that recently, I’ve been wearing a lot more Lilly Pulitzer, Vineyard Vines, J.Crew, and more. While I’ve always loved these brands, they’re definitely not what I would consider affordable.

I wanted to share how I’ve been able to find these brands on a budget in case you’re in the same boat I am! (Wanting to wear these brands, but on a budget!). 🙂

I do think all of these brands are worth the price they’re usually listed and sold at, but I (and I’m sure you as well) don’t have an endless budget to be spending on clothing.

I have been using thredUP for a few months now and I can honestly say, it’s the best way to build your wardrobe without breaking the bank. thredUP is the largest online thrift store where you can find just about any brand discounted.  And if you’re looking to clean out your closet, you can request a free clean-out kit from them. It’ll be shipped to your door, you fill up the bag, send it back (they provide prepaid shipping), and you’re done! They’ll list items in good condition on their site, and if they sell, you can either cash out the $ to PayPal or use it as credit. If the items you send back aren’t in great condition and thredUP doesn’t think they’ll sell, they recycle them! All in all, this is such a wholesome way to shop and I’ve found so many great pieces from them!

Okay, back to the good stuff!

Below I’m sharing all of the items I’ve been able to get my hands on! I hope you enjoy 🙂 If you’re interested in shopping on thredUP for the first time, you can click here to get $10 off your first order! Happy shopping!

White Jeans

I’m always on the hunt for a good pair of white denim jeans, and I just so happened to find this Old Navy pair on thredUP in my size! They’re listed brand new at $35 and I purchased them from thredUP for $8.80. What a deal!

J. Crew Gingham Top

I’m already excited to style this top for the 4th of July! This J. Crew top was listed originally at $88 and I was able to get it for $19.

Vineyard Vines Blouse

I’ve always wanted one of the many beautiful Vineyard Vines tops, but I just couldn’t justify paying $95 for one. (Yup, that’s what this one is listed as!). Luckily, thredUP had this top listed for $30!

Vineyard Vines Skirt

As you can tell, I love Vineyard Vines! I was so excited when I found this top on thredUP for only $23, when it was originally over $70! Come summer, I think this skirt will be adorable with a white blouse and nude espadrilles!

Lilly Pulitzer Jumpsuit

love all-things Lilly Pulitzer. This jumpsuit immediately jumped out at me because of the color: I think green is one of the most underrated colors ever! This jumpsuit was originally listed as $55 and I purchased it for $30.

Vineyard Vines Blouse

I own nothing in this color and I just had to have it when I saw it listed on thredUP. Not only is this Vineyard Vines blouse a beautiful color and fit, it can double as a swimsuit coverup in the summer! It was originally listed for $95 and I was able to get my hands on it for $30.

I hope you enjoyed these items! A reminder, if you sign up and place an order for thredUP using this link, you’ll get $10 off!
