This is such a specific blog post, but when I posted a photo of this kitchen island on my Instagram Story yesterday, I received over 15 DMs asking about it, so I figured it was worth a blog post!

Our kitchen is pretty wide open and there’s plenty of storage and cabinet space. However, there’s not much counter space. On the tiny little square of counter space that we do have, we keep the Keurig and the dish drying rack. So, whenever we were cooking we found ourselves rearranging the counter space. It just wasn’t practical and we knew we wanted to get some sort of standing kitchen island. Not only did we need the counter space, with how open the kitchen layout is, it just needed something more to feel home-y. And yes, we started decorating for Fall just a little bit early… Trying to soak in every ounce of pumpkin spice season!!
We purchased this specific kitchen island because some of the other ones were waaaaay too big. Like, we would’ve been going through an obstacle course to get around it. 🤣 This one is 32″W x 19″D x 35.5″H which is perfect for us and our space. Any larger would’ve been too big but any smaller would’ve been a waste. We’re still trying to figure out what to store in the drawers, but at some point we’ll use the extra storage space.
