Q&A | Vol. 1

Happy Tuesday, friends!! It’s been a busy few months with a lot of change, so I figured it was time to do a little Q&A. Last week I asked you to share some questions on my Instagram story, here’s a round up of some of the questions I got!

Moving Advice

So I actually love the process of apartment hunting, furnishing and decorating, & exploring a new location. BUT, I totally get that it can be frustrating and of course, expensive. My favorite places to furnish and decorate (on a budget) are Target, Urban Outfitters, & Home Goods. Don’t buy everything at once, either!

If you’re moving to a brand new city, make sure you know where you want to live within that city. Go into the apartment hunt with your budget in mind and what your top priorities are (Are you willing to live somewhere that doesn’t have laundry? Do you need to find an apartment building that offers parking? Etc..). Of course, a lot of these things apply more if you’re looking to move to a major city like New York or Boston. I hope this helps! If you’re looking for more specific advice, feel free to DM me on Instagram or email me! 😊

What is the scariest part & most exciting part of your move to Boston?

For me, I can’t think of anything that I would consider scary about moving to Boston. If anything, it’s much easier for me! I’m closer to home and to family, and we’re in a quiet little area near the water – no complaints here! 😊 I will say though that it’s going to be hard to meet new people around here because of COVID, just because we won’t be going out and socializing like we normally would. I do have friends that live here, though, so I’m not too worried!

Other than the fact that I’m excited that Ant and I finally have our own place together, I’m SO excited to be back in New England. New Jersey & New York were great at the time, but there’s just something about New England.

Favorite places in New England

I’m a little biased, but honestly anywhere on the Cape and Kennebunkport, Maine. I sort of want to make a little guide for the Cape… Let me know if this is something you’d be interested in!

Tips for Photoshop beginners

Luckily, I studied Graphic Design in college so I learned most of the Adobe programs in my classes. Unfortunately, they’re not the easiest to learn. I recommend watching a lot of YouTube “how to’s” to help you figure out what you need to do! I still don’t know everything there is to do on Photoshop, but I feel like a pro when it comes to the things I do know. It just takes time!

Favorite movies/TV shows?

I’m not a huge movie/TV person to be honest. I’ll watch any Christmas movie, though. 🤣 For movies I do enjoy Julie & Julia and Jackie (the 2016 version with Natalie Portman). For TV shows, I’ll watch re-runs of The Office, I just recently finished season 1 of Sweet Magnolias on Netflix, and I’ll watch pretty much any season of Real Housewives. 🤣 I like watching cooking shows, too. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, movies and TV are just not my thing.
