While it’s hard to believe, it’s been over one full year since we first moved into our Boston apartment. We’ve officially seen all four seasons living in this home and we still love it just as much as we did when we first signed the lease. In March of 2021, our property manager asked if we’d be staying for another year and it was a simple answer for us: we resigned for one more year. Our apartment is small, but it’s in the perfect location. We know we won’t be here forever (this will likely be our last year) but for now, it’s simply the perfect “home” for us.
With that being said, I do feel the need to do a bit of an apartment “refresh.” We’ve had a coastal, nautical theme since day 1 and while I absolutely love that style of decor (and still do), I’m ready for something a bit different. My surroundings play such a role in my motivation and since we both spend 98% of our days here, it just feels like we need something fresh. I’m not totally sure which direction to go in, and since this won’t be our forever home, we don’t plan on spending much for this “revamp.” My goal is to score affordable home decor online and scour Facebook Marketplace for some items.
Below I’m sharing two ideas for the living room “revamp” – but please, share your ideas! My goal is to make our apartment (and future apartment/home) feel fresh, classic, and cozy.
