Autumn In and Around Boston

We’re in the midst of my favorite time of the year: he ‘ber months! I love September through December for a handful of reasons… the fashion, the cooler weather, the holidays, and the decorations. In the past, we’ve spent our fall season packing up for our annual autumn road-trip… We’ve visited Woodstock, Burlington, and Stowe most recently, but this year we had no time to get away. Instead, this season we’ve been wandering Boston, enjoying relaxing days at home, and spending time with local friends.

A few weekends ago, we kicked off the month of October (and my birthday month) by apple picking with family. Last weekend we woke up early and with a caramel latte from Thinking Cup in hand, we explored the cobblestone streets of Beacon Hill… It’s my favorite spot for Halloween decorations. A full blog post with photos of Beacon Hill decor is coming! Although there were on and off rain showers, the weather made the brownstones covered in cobwebs extra spooky. After walking up and down the hills in BH, we continued our day walking over to Cambridge to see the Head of the Charles Regatta. The rest of our weekend was spent in our apartment, watching Gilmore Girls… Luckily, I somehow got Ant hooked. This weekend, we’ve had a few Halloween-themed/autumn-themed get-togethers with both friends and family, which has been so fun! I cannot believe November is arriving this upcoming week… this season is flying by and I’m doing everything I can to soak it all up! x
