Hi all! I hope everyone who reads this is having a sun-filled summer so far… It’s sure been a busy one. Between our usual Memorial Day weekend celebrations, a run-in with strep throat, and visiting with family from out-of-town, I truly have not been able to get ahead on my blog posts. Though busy, I have been enjoying all of the exciting happenings. Because my summer schedule is filled with a handful of social and professional events, I’ve found myself shopping more than usual. Read on, for my five favorite recent purchases.
First up, this blue and white cinched waist top. I was doing a little in-store shopping and this print caught my eye! It’s the perfect elevated-but-lightweight-for-summer top. I’ve already worn it for drinks with friends last week, and out to dinner with colleagues this week! I’ve been pairing it with white jeans and sandals. Tip: It does run big, so I sized down.
After working remotely for a little over a year, I spent two days with my colleagues (in real life) in Boston. We took team photos and headshots yesterday, and I wanted something that felt ‘me.’ This white eyelet dress feels professional (when styled correctly), coastal, and modest. I’m excited to wear it all summer long! I also bought this neutral pleated dress for another option… it’s much more formal (and runs really, really big!) but it’s elegant and sophisticated… I’m going to keep both!
This two-piece set might be one of my favorite purchases. I bought it in black, and I think I’m going to buy it in the shade ‘Sky,’ too. It’s so flattering! The pants are wide and flow perfectly… and the top is so comfortable. I plan on styling the black top with white jeans, too! If you’re going to buy one thing I recommend in this blog post, it’s this set.
Lastly, as I was checking out with the blue and white cinched waist top, Ant spotted a necklace (similar to this necklace) and I knew I had to have it. It’s simple and so me, and I’m actually surprised that I didn’t already own a similar one. I’ve been wearing it non-stop.
