Hello, 2021!

Hello, 2021! Anthony and I rang in the new year pretty different than most years prior: no big party, no friends, and no shocking-expensive cover fee just to ENTER an overpriced dive bar (if you know, you know.) We ordered takeout from our favorite local restaurant, Rocco’s Cucina. It’s a super casual and low-key restaurant with an outstanding menu – and lately, simply ordering a meal from a local restaurant just feels like a good way of showing support. The rest of the night was spent drinking champagne, playing card games and board games, and of course, watching the ball drop on TV. I’m still shocked I made it to midnight, but I was fast asleep by 12:30am, LOL.

While 2020 was an odd year (to say the least), in regards to my personal and professional life, there were so many positive things to come out of this year. I moved back to Massachusetts, I’m currently living in Boston with Ant in our very first apartment, I started a new job in the last few months that has been wonderful so far, and I got to spend the summer of “quarantine” back home on Cape Cod! A BIG thank you to my wonderful mom for many, MANY delicious meals.

2020 was filled with a lot of news, many lessons learned, and a lot of growth. Both as a human and as a country, I think we were all brought together in more ways than one. I’m saying goodbye to 2020 with a grateful heart for our healthcare workers, frontline workers, and essential workers. I’m also saying goodbye to 2020 with my heart filled with prayers for those that experienced loss. While we’re only 1 day in, I hope 2021 is looking brighter for all of you.

Here’s to hoping this year brings good health and more in-person family time. Happy New Year, all! Thank YOU for all of the love in 2020 – I just know that 2021 will be even better.
