ON MY MIND Vol. 2

Pictured above: Labor Day Weekend festivities at The Pilot House in Sandwich, MA.

Happy Friday, all. I spent the morning enjoying an iced chai tea and almond croissant with a friend in Seaport, and it was such a great way to start the day/end the week. We’re a week into September and it somehow feels like it’s flying by. It still feels like summer, but I know we’ll be in the midst of October/November before I know it. I recently introduced these ‘On My Mind’ blog posts, and felt it was time for another one. See below for volume 2 of this series, where I share what’s on my mind and a few other random thoughts.

APPOINTMENTS // Last week I had lab work done, this week I had a doctor appointment, and next week I have a dentist appointment. I always dread making these appointments and find that I convince myself how inconvenient they are… When in reality, they’re so simple and easy to get over with.. I make them all early in the morning and can walk to all of the locations.. So it really is an easy in-and-out. Now that I’m done with 2/3, I feel relieved. No more appointments for the near future!

SARAH FLINT SHOES // I recently mentioned that I’m a new Sarah Flint Brand Ambassador, which is so exciting. I’ve admired the founder and the shoes for a while now, so to have a pair of my own AND to be working with the brand feels surreal. I’ve been wearing my Natalie flats around my apartment while working from home, simply to break them in before I hit the town. I really love their new fall collection and I’m already eyeing my next pair… I really love the Perfect Pump in Espresso Croc (the name is everything!!) but I think I’d get more wear out of the Perfect Zip Bootie… Since they are an investment piece, I’ll have to give it some thought. You can use code SARAHFLINT-BACJ for $50 off of your order.

CAREER GOALS // Since the start of my freelance journey, I’ve met some of the most talented people and have broadened my network. It’s really one of the only ways to make freelancing work, I think? You simply have to introduce yourself to everyone and anyone. I’ve had some incredible conversations in the last week or two, all about career growth, aspirations, and of course – financial goals. I’m feeling eager for what’s to come… I’d love to touch more on this career topic soon.. I think it deserves its own separate blog post.

ANNIVERSARY // Ooh, how did I not mention?! Ant and I celebrated our 7 year anniversary on September 4th. We were on the Cape enjoying Labor Day Weekend festivities with family, but enjoyed some time celebrating once we returned back to Boston. I cannot believe it’s been 7 years… Feeling extra thankful for 18-year-old me + 19-year-old Ant who decided to just go for it… 5 days into freshman year of college. 😂

FALL DECOR // I almost always have my fall decor out by Labor Day Weekend… or the day after? But I’ve been so busy and haven’t really had the time (or thought?) to bring out my faux pumpkins, gorgeous faux foliage, etc.. yet. I think it’ll happen this weekend, though… So stay tuned for pictures!
