Before we know it, the most beautiful time of the year will be here. I’ve always thought of autumn as the very best season, likely because my birthday falls in October. Regardless, there’s just something magical about the colorful leaves, cooler temperatures, and of course, the fashion. I recently mentioned in a blog post that I was focusing on curating a timeless, capsule wardrobe. This priority remains, and I’m leaning on my two tips (shared in the blog post) as I shop for fall staples.
My first piece of advice is to define your style in three words and I’ve been able to narrow mine to feminine, modest, and classic. Although I lean towards structured pieces in the fall, I still consider most of the textures and silhouettes to have a feminine style. My second suggestions is to invest in higher quality pieces, which I’ve also been thinking more about as we approach the upcoming season. Since many of the pieces I’m wanting to invest in are higher price points, I give myself at least 24-48 hours before making a purchase. I want to be sure my money is going somewhere that will last for years to come.

I really love the idea of pairing this festive graphic t-shirt with a dressy pair of pumps and a long jacket, as pictured above. Though, I know that’s not practical for daily-wear.
